Summary
The young do not see themselves as peddling fantasy and impossible ideals for the future, according
to the WWF. They believe that working with the environment will save money in the long run. But they put their finger on the central problem of any attempt to forecast the future. They feel that people are not sufficiently interested in looking forward - and planning how to meet problems. "Do it
now before things get out of hand," is the message they put across to the rest of us.
Whether anyone is listening is another matter. If this report shows one thing, it is that much of the
city of tomorrow is already here. We are building it today. Many of the potential problems could be solved just by taking account of the dangers now.
